Ok so I know I'm late on this movie but I saw it last night and after viewing it,I had to do a review.I was suppose to see the movie when it came out but people told me it was bad and it had bad review.But I had nothing to do last night so I decided to rent Year One.So let's see why did people hate this movie.
The Actors:Jack Black playing the main character,known for his comedic acting,Jack Black does his thing in this movie,always stupid in his movies he is not different in this one.Micheal Cera playing the second main character who is also known for his comedic acting does play we'll in this movie,no different then Superbad or Juno.He doesn't do much or say much but that's what makes him different and funny.There were also famous other actors but the movie wasn't based on them so...
The Plot:So after having problems with their tribe,a duo decide to visit the world,all of this happening during the year 1.
The Directing:We'll there wasn't too much special effect,the only things are the backgrounds and the surroundings that was wisely chosen or created for the movie.
All Of It:So when the movie came out people started bashing on it,giving it bad rating for no true reasons.People say they were disappointed but this movie is actually funny and good.The only reason people are disappointed is because their hope were to high.Because Micheal Cera was in 2 great comedy movies (Superbad,Juno) and Jack Black is known for his comedic good movies.So people,without even think once that this movie wouldn't be too great,went to see it with HIGH HOPES,very high of very loud laugh,were disappointed.Giving it a 5.1/10 rating on IMDB.But I give this an 7 minimum,this movie had great comedy here and there,Black and Cera's acting were great.The writing by Harold Ramis was funny,the way of showing how humans created such and such.Anyway I wanted to write this review because I think this movie was wrongly rated.C'mon people,you really thought this movie would be the comedy of the year.NO!Of course not,it's a Saturday night relaxing movie but that doesn't mean you got to underrate it.
