Transformers:Revenge Of The Fallen Review
June 28th 2009 17:10
Transformers 1,weather you loved it or hated it,you still wanna see the follow up that is Transformers:Revenge Of The Fallen. After the great success of Transformers,Micheal Bay had to do another one,to see how long people would stay interested in this kind of movie. Some people say it was just too much, too much of everything. Was it?Did Bay ruing the movie Transformers, well you are about to find out right now.
The Actors:Following the same principal character played by Shia LaBeouf, who i think was very good in this movie, very believable in each scenes.Micheal Bay did a great job picking him as principal character since Transformers 1.Megan Fox rated sexiest woman of the year doesn't disappoint a bit, since this is not a down to earth movie, the acting doesn't need to be perfect cause that's not what were watching, were just watching to be entertained. But yes Megan Fox does also a great job.(I found her lips a little too big in this movie, playing it "a la Angelina Jolie",but it doesn't match her,in my opinion.).Josh Duhamel & Tyrese Gibson did a good job in the first one,and also does a good job in this one.John Turturro only appears at the end but he does bring a new good angle to the acting in the movie.Ramon Rodriguez was okay,he look like an annoying guy,i found him stupid, but that was his role so...Kevin Dunn & Julie White playing Sam's parents were really good,a great couple, acting on point. This movie had many known features but those actors were the principals.
The Plot:Following the same story as the first one.The idea was good, not crazy but good. The people complaining that this movie was too long (150 min),it couldn't have been shorter,it was impossible to put everything in less than this time for us to understand the story.Me i think that the movie continued flowing well,it didn't go to fast,or too slow. The movie just kept advancing non-stop,now if your brain is slow and you need more time to understand, that is your problem, but you can say that you couldn't understand the story,it was very simple.
The Directing:Micheal Bay is a great director,we all know that.Transformers one,you can't deny it,was one of the best entertainment movie in a long time. The robot were believable and on point, this is for Transformers one and two.The camera moves were also on point although sometimes he did too much of his signature move that is the "360 camera shot",when i mean too much,I'm saying he was doing some "1080 camera shot".It was just a waist of time. But it seems Micheal finished the series with this one,i don't know if it's gonna end like this, but i think he milked the cow to its last drop with this movie, for everything the story, and the fighting. It just was over the top, that nothing can top it anymore. We see it all in this movie, from the minor explosion to the titanic meltdown (you'll understand when you'll see the movie).
The Score/Soundtrack:Keeping the same great score as the first one,it doesn't disappoint, easy to listen too,and gets you hype really well for the action that's about to happen. The soundtrack, there wasn't that many songs, except those coming out of Bumblebee's mouth but they were undeniable classic songs.
All Of It:So after seating 3 hours for the movie, than at least 30 minutes to write this review, how much do i give it?I give it an 7.5/10.I gave an 8.5 to the first one.So depending on how much you give to the first one, this one is impossible to be higher than the first one.Just because of the fact that the milked the cow to much, there was too much of everything,This is worth for the Theartre only because of the action, but if you have nothing to do and you have an 50 inch screen, then you can rent it for a great popcorn Saturday night.
