So I decided to go see The Men Who Stare At Goats last night.Ever since I had seen the first trailer,I wanted to go see it.It look like the same type of comedy as "Burn After Reading",and I was a little bit right.
The Actors:Well of course everybody knows George Clooney,who I think did another great job in a comedy of the same genre as "Burn After Reading".You never get disappointed with Mr. Clooney.Ewan McGregor played the main character.A good actor but without Clooney,he would have no jokes in this movie.Basically Clooney had this movie on his shoulders.Jeff Bridges also appeared a lot in this one,good performance.And last but not least,Kevin Spacey,the enemy in this movie,Who did a pretty good job.So these were the most important people in the movie.But I got to hand it down to Clooney,without him this movie could have been horrible.
The Plot:A journalist who hates is life.Tries to find a great subject to write about,to get I'm back on the train of Happiness.Trying to go to Iraq,he meets this "Super Soldier" who is on a mission.So of course at first he doesn't believe him,but as the movie goes on.The journal knows more and more truth about a secret warrior group in the army."The Jedi Warrior",a group of men trained to kill with super powers.
The Directing:The directing was good,nothing to complain about.
All Of It:I give this movie an 8/10.I couldn't give it an 7.5 because I found that too low and an 8.5 was too high,so 8 puts it best.From the start till the 3/4 of the movie,this movie is not hilarious to a point that you lyas (Laugh Your A** Off).But still,they were a lot of great comedic lines in this movie.Clooney acting was also funny,the eye thing (if you've seen the movie,you will understand) was too hilarious!!!! But a the last 1/4 of the movie,it kind of slow downed a bit on the comedy and went into the reality.But nevertheless,this movie was good.Not a direct theater but I would recommend you RENT IT for a good Saturday night laugh.

I haven't seen the film yet so forgive the fact i didn't read all of your review for fear of spoilers.
The trailer for men Who Stare at Goats makes me thinks this is my sort of comedy.
Jeff Bridges and Kevin Spacey both increase the appeal and then the subject matter pushs it up to must see. The intriguing BBC documentary i saw a while back about the real psychic warriors program adds to the titillation.

Well,normally I try not to put any spoilers in my reviews and if I do I write spoiler and write it ten lines spaces under so people wont see it if they dont want to!
And depending on your type of comedy,this could be horrible for you or just great.If you're a Will Ferrel type of comedy guys.You won't like this movie to much,this is kind of the Seinfeld comedy type,not to smart but not to dumb that babies will laugh.
And wow,thanks for the information on the BBC documentary,because It's truly impossible to know if this movie is based on a true story,because it is so stupid! lol
anyway,have a great movie night!
