G.I Joe.The latest action movie to end the summer.A lot of cartoons have been remade to movies during the years,and seriously none of them truly came out great.So does G.I Joe count as one of them?
The Actors:Channing Tatum,who is,i find,an actor who doesn't play role that are truly difficult but he choses them really good,and every time he does,they really fit him,so he did his thing on G.I.Marlon Wayans,has you can see in the trailer didn't change much,same cool guy,drops funny lines from time to time.Those are the two you see the most.Then you have the rest,(in imdb's actors order),Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje who doesn't say much in the movie,just a guy that say some quick stuff here and there.Christopher Eccleston has the bad guy,for a bad guy i found him pretty normal,didn't see alot of him also.Joseph Gordon-Levitt is like the other two guys.Byung-hun Lee was a cool ninja,he act the evil well.Sienna Miller,she appeared a lot also,i think that,you know-you always need a pretty girl in the movies and that was her,not really different from any actress.And some other people,if i didn't say there names,ether there weren't that important or i forgot them.
The Plot:I don't know why they didn't just follow the same story as the G.I Joe cartoon,it was cool.But no,Hollywood got to change everything right!I'm sick of bad remakes!!!I mean the story was basically written for a kid of 5 to 10 years old,12 maximum.You could see that the movie wasn't in a good feel.You could see that the jokes were written down word to word,that everything was prepare before the director said "action,okay you come in now".I just didn't have that real feeling.
The Directing:The only thing good about it was the effects,I'm sorry but even if you think they were stupid or whatnot,you got to admit they were still crazy effects,the suit,the weapons,the fights and all that was still cool.Because when i saw the suit,the accelerator suit,I was like
ammmm i wish i could do that,so it brought back that child part of me.All Of it:So i give this movie an 5/10.I sorry,it just doesn't cut it for me.it's missing that special something that keeps you watching the movie to the end,When i was watching it,i couldn't care less how it would end,it just wasn't interesting enough.And it had to much of those -Why- question marks.Ex1:In the movie there is an invisible suit that the G.I Joe can wear,i mean if you have that "WHY" not use it all the time...Ex 2:At one point Wayans character discover something about the bad guy,but with no explanation,so "WHY" do they believe him...I hope you know what i mean,there are too much plot holes,and i didn't like the hole thing that almost every enemy had a past story with one of the Joe's.It is impossible,you know how many people we are in the world.And the G.I Joe general found the only ones who were connected with the enemy for no reason.That also brings up,the famous lines you say when watching the movie,like:Yeeaaaaahhhhhhh rrrrrigggghhtt,Imma believe that,Cmon!!!.On this note,i still recommend the movie for a rent,if your kids want to have fun watching a movie.
