When I first saw the teaser of this movie,I was intrigued,then when I saw the trailer,i knew i would go see this movie.Totally different from any alien movies you've ever seen.
The Actor:Starting with the fact that all the actors was infamous made the movie even better.Sharlto Copley playing the main character,did his job to perfection.Sometimes you would laugh at him,be mad at him,be sad for him.He played a great role till the end of the movie.The rest of the cast also infamous,did a great job.But the best role was the aliens.The fact that they weren't human,they couldn't act badly.There feelings were real,I was sometimes sad for them.I could feel there pain.Since i was a born in Haiti,i could relate to the way they lived.Next to trash,treated like animals.People saying there ugly,you cannot be more wrong.There just deformed humans,and the little one was kind of cute,like a baby.And there language was just so believable.Blomkamp did a great job creating them.
The Plot:Everybody says when the aliens will visit us,It will be to rule us or destroy us.Nobody thought they would come by mistake,wish to leave,but we keep them with us like slaves.Like I said the First time I saw the teaser,I was blast away with this great idea.Yes there are some part of the story line that are already existant,like "the father of the girlfriend works for the government searching for the main character".But those small part doesn't effect the movie,because the plot just keep getting smarter/better every minutes of the movie.You will stay concentrated till the end of the movie.
The Directing:Neill Blomkamp did a magnificent idea,using the hand-camera.it just had a more realistic feel to the movie.The movie was like a real documentary so you could totaly believe the movie.The interviews just made it even more real.Like i said he did a great on the aliens,the aliens guns,the project (ghetto).
All Of It:Neill Blomkamp brought one of the best movie of the summer for me,from the directing to the writing.I give this movie 10/10 and I'm not exaggerating.There was no plot hole,the story was great to follow.I recommend this movie to anyone who like "Cloverfield",to people who can believe different philosophies and to smart people who enjoys a good movie.There was a girl behind me saying the movie suck....WTFFFF,,,i bet a good movie for her is "Legally Blond".Anyway if you wish to have a great entertainment,go see the movie.A BUY ON DVD. type of movie.
