A great legend has just left us. Charlton Heston, who is well known for his movie roles such as "The Ten Commandments", "Ben Hur", and "Planet of the Apes" died in his home after battling Alzheimer's disease for 6 years on Saturday.
He started his movie career in '41 playing in the movie "Peer Gynt", which was an independent film based on a play. Afterwards, his career soared to playing in over 100 movies and winning one Oscar. Later in his career, his lent his voice to films such as "Armageddon", "Hercules", and "Bagpipe: Instrument of War, parts 1 & 2". And to show his humorous side, he made a cameo in "Wayne's World 2" and hosted "Saturday Night Live".
Even though he had been in the shadows for the last 5 years (his last movie was in 2003), he will not be forgotten. He was a wonderful actor...a legend. His films will carry on until the end of time, and he will forever be in our hearts.
